The story behind the print

This vertical paper print depicts a hanging lantern with black vertical stripes and a fringed base, set against a deep teal background. To the right, a red lattice window frames a silhouetted figure playing a stringed instrument, illuminated by a warm orange glow. Pale blue Chinese characters appear on the lower right, and a black geometric border runs along the bottom.

The composition balances the lantern on the left with the window on the right, using flat blocks of teal, red, orange, black, and pale blue. The silhouette style and lattice pattern give the artwork a graphic, cultural feel. The vertical format suits narrow wall spaces, and the teal and orange palette adds a bold accent to neutral interiors.

This Chinese lantern wall art is supplied unframed, with the frame not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes.
