The story behind the print

This wall art print presents a close-up view of a wooden ship's wheel mounted on a boat deck, with the sea and rigging visible in the background. The composition centres on the wheel's spokes and central hub, painted in muted teal, brown, and rust tones. The visible brushwork gives the scene a textured, painterly quality.

The artwork captures the deck's planks, a coiled rope, and a brass fitting on the left, adding depth to the nautical subject. The palette combines cool teal with warm browns, creating a balanced contrast. The vertical orientation suits narrow wall spaces or gallery groupings.

This nautical poster is supplied unframed, so the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand, and it is available in multiple sizes.
