The story behind the print
A yellow bird perched on a potted plant is the central subject of this unframed paper print. The bird sits on a broad green leaf, surrounded by long, pointed leaves in shades of olive and sage green. The plant is held in a simple orange pot, and the composition is set against a plain cream background.
The artwork uses a loose, illustrative style with bold black outlines and flat colour fills. Small black buds and thin stems add detail around the bird, while the bird's simple eye and beak are drawn with minimal lines. The palette combines warm yellow, earthy greens, and a bright orange accent.
