The story behind the print

This Zen cat poster shows a seated cat with closed eyes and visible whiskers, dressed in flowing monk-like robes. The cat sits centrally inside a thick, brush-drawn green ink circle, with a small red seal mark below the composition. The beige background and dark green linework create a restrained, Japanese-inspired palette.

The artwork uses a circular enclosure to frame the meditating cat, giving the design a balanced, portrait-oriented layout. The cat's upright posture, folded paws, and textured robe folds are drawn in a loose ink style, while the uneven circle edge adds a hand-painted quality. The red seal at the bottom introduces a single warm accent against the green and beige.

This unframed paper print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in the configured sizes through the Size selector. The frame is not included.
